Being a plump youg woman, I had no idea how difficult dress shopping would be! There were NO dresses beyond "model sizes" on the racks and virtually impossible to get a sense of any dresses. I was humiliated and demoralized in a high-end bridal and furs shop... then, ONE dress shimmied past my hips. Two sales ladies worked together to hold the back together. I was on a platform surrounded by mirrors and feeling so lost. As I turned, a young girl walking by with her Mom shouted, "Look Mommy! It's Cinderella!" To write this now, still brings tears of gratitude. That, obviously, was the dress. I loved wearing it, dancing in it, swirling in it, and I was indeed, a princess for a day. I got married young... 21... and saved the dress all these years preserved impeccably for my daughter. It is not her style at all! So, off it goes to a new Cinderalla in need.
